This session will focus on many commonly held misconceptions about insurance language, insurance coverage, the nature of indemnification, and risk transfer. This includes how policies address issues such as insurable interest, who is an insured, extensions of coverage, how premiums are calculated, property valuations, policyholder duties, the nature of claim reporting, and issues frequently misunderstood both in and out of the insurance industry.
